Mana - Kindergarten FPA Hui

Kindergarten kaiako and kaimahi understand the power of collective action and solidarity to win improvements to terms and conditions.

NZEI Te Riu Roa invites all kindergarten kaiako and kaimahi to come together to discuss the fair pay agreement, which gives union members the opportunity to come together from across the ECE sector to discuss and solve some of the biggest issues facing the sector.

In this hui we will vote to endorse our claims and our bargaining team, but also discuss the secondary teachers’ variation for the kindergarten collective agreement and vote on whether to accept the final change to the KTCA until expiry.

The Fair Pay Agreement process gives us an opportunity to work together, across the whole ECE sector, to solve some of the big issues we’re facing. At this meeting, we’ll discuss the claims we want to bring into the Fair Pay Agreement bargaining – solutions that we hope to be able to agree on together. We’ll also endorse a bargaining team to take these solutions forward.

It is important everyone attends this hui to build our power and the mandate of members as we go into this process – please come along and bring all your colleagues!
