Beginning Primary and Area School Teachers – Collective Agreements 101

Are you a beginning Teacher in a Primary or Area School, or new to Teaching in these schools in Aotearoa New Zealand? This is the webinar for you!

You may be wondering how, why and when are your pay and working conditions negotiated?

What does negotiation look like?
What issues and hopes are shared between beginning Teachers and how can we win on these?
How can your voice be heard?

At this online hui you will hear the 101 of the; what, why, who, where and how of your collective agreement and its negotiation from members of the past negotiation teams.

You will find out how the things that matter to you as a beginning teacher can be addressed through collective action, and where you can go to get support.

When you register you will have the opportunity to ask questions about how collective agreements work, that the NZEI Te Riu Roa members will answer in the webinar and you’ll hear how you can become involved.

Generations of teachers before you have taken teaching to where you are now, and this could be your first chance to take part.

Your input is just as important as everyone else’s.
