Waikato Branch/Te Māngai Māori o Waikato: Hamilton Teacher & Principal Strike Action

This event is for NZEI Te Riu Roa teachers and principals and supporters based in Waikato to call on government to take action to get behind educators so they can better support the tamariki they teach. Please see the strike plan below for your local area:

NZEI Te Riu Roa Picket Action:
8:00am - Sign waving at designated bridges and roundabouts within Hamilton – details will be sent to WSRs
11:00am – Sign waving on Victoria Street
11:45am - Gather in Garden Place (Speakers)
12:00 - Sign the petition and sign waving/picnic

- Please bring placards, signs, chants, music.
- Teachers please wear blue and/or green. Principals please wear black.
-Wear weather appropriate gear.
- NZEI Te Riu Roa members attending will be updated if there are any changes.
- Remember to share lots of videos, lives, and photos via social media.
