Hutt Valley Primary & Area School Teacher Paid Union Meeting

**PLEASE ONLY REGISTER IF YOU ARE THE TEACHER WORKSITE REPRESENTATIVE, YOU ONLY NEED TO REGISTER YOURSELF, YOUR SCHOOL AND THE NUMBER ATTENDING EACH MEETING***
(If your colleagues are spread across multiple meetings, then please register attendee numbers on each event)
These meetings are paid union meetings for teachers employed under the Primary Teachers Collective Agreement and the Area School Teachers Collective Agreement. At these meetings members will vote on the direction and priorities for their 2022 collective agreement renewal campaign.
Over past months teachers have discussed the workload and well-being issues they face in their work. These issues are not abating, if anything they are getting worse. But teachers have also been considering how increases in school staffing could address these issues. The recent Pūaotanga independent school staffing review has been an in-depth examination of school staffing needs, and the recommendations from this review, along with information such as the results of the teacher wellbeing and workload survey, will be discussed by teachers at these paid union meetings. With this information teachers at these meetings will together determine the direction and priorities for their 2022 collective agreement renewal campaign.
