Taumarunui Primary and Area School Principal Paid Union Meeting and PLD workshop

This is a paid union meeting for principals employed under the Primary Principals Collective Agreement and the Area School Principals Collective Agreement. At these meetings members will vote on the direction and priorities for their 2022 collective agreement renewal campaign.

This will include seeking principal members’ feedback on the potential way forward with the principals’ collective agreements, as suggested by the NZEI Te Riu Roa Principals’ Council. To enable an informed ballot to be conducted at the paid union meetings, principals will be provided with the findings from the recent Pūaotanga independent school staffing review, the results of the principal wellbeing and workload survey and an update on the current economic, social and political context.

The paid union meetings will be followed by a Professional Learning Development (PLD) session focused on the principal’s role in implementing Teaching Council’s professional growth cycles and understanding the processes for addressing teacher competency when required.
